Bird Preservation
At Lyfer, bird preservation is at the heart of everything we do. With bird populations reaching every corner of the globe, it’s a clear indicator of how human activity affects wildlife.
An alarming 48% of bird species worldwide are in decline. A report from Cornell Chronicle in May 2022 highlighted that these declines are largely due to human activities like farming and logging, which destroy bird habitats.
This urgent issue drives our mission at Lyfer to unite our community and take action. Our commitment shapes how we source products, select manufacturers, and choose materials and we’re proud to pledge a portion of each sale to support bird conservation organisations from the Lyfer Endangered Bird Fund.
We’re donating a portion of all sales from our apparel and accessories to help protect bird life. Our ‘Endangered Range’ is all about raising awareness and funds for species in need. The first edition will support the Golden-shouldered Parrot from Northern Queensland, with designs inspired by this amazing bird.
For 2024-25, our pledge is this:
Birdlife Australia will receive 5% of all sales from our Original Range, which includes all products except for the Endangered Range. | |
Conservation Partners will receive 10% of sales from our Endangered Range (inspired by the Golden-shouldered Parrot) for their program at Artemis Station.

We’re all about protecting birds, and with your help, raising awareness of them. Our mission is to grow the birding community and inspire a new generation of Modern Birders to stand up for bird protection. You're all a big part in making that happen!
