Most Australian orders arrive within 3–5 business days.
Most orders land on your doorstep within 3–5 business days in Australia, depending if you're urban birders or out yonder? We use Australia Post and they are generally pretty good, but we’ll keep you updated with auto responses on your order. There made by artisans and small-batch makers across nine countries. We chose them for various reason and it is was vital to us that they shared similar life ethics, passion for their craft, and shared commitment to people and planet. We know you often hear this, but hand-on-heart, this is true.
So yes, they really are made everywhere, we didn't make it easy for ourselves but we were attracted to the idea of connecting to our great world and being inspired by culture that we hope reflects in each product.
We went to Peru for the apparel, Indonesia for the headwear Peruvian and even Turkiye for the adjustable straps. Each chosen because they share our values on people, planet, and truly love what they do. We didn’t just pick the nearest factory. The quality of the product to say we are "premium" is, of course, a given. You get what you pay for after all right?
We collaborated local where we could, but it's not easy, wherever we could use local makers or skills we did.
Getting thermo bottles made in Australia, pretty much, doesn't exist. Finding products like our headwear that have such an extraordinary story of determination and desire to better our planet, we just dont have here. We went searching the world for months to find LYFER partners, who care as much about ethics and quality as we do.
Our packaging is all made locally by a small team up the road from us. All our creative services are by locals and friends, no professional off-shore services.
Follow the care label for best results. When you receive your products you will see a swing tag on your product, simply scan it and you'll be taken to the care page.
Some of the products are easy to care for, the notepads for example are resilient (made from stone-paper after all). What we really want you to be across is the t-shirts. They need a bit of tender, love and care. Always wash them at 30 degree and inside out too, this will preserve the prints that little bit longer. The cotton is delicate so avoid washing it with sharp object's, like zips etc
Our packaging is sustainable, protective, and designed to make unboxing part of the LYFER experience, with minimal environmental impact.
We’ve gone to ridiculous lengths to create a special experience when you receive your LYFER purchase. Yes, some say its overkill but we think everyone loves to feel special when a purchase (or birders gift) arrives in the mail.
Of course, we also make sure our packaging is as sustainable as possible, without compromising on the unboxing experience. Your order will arrive safely, look good, and leave a minimal trace behind.
We have committed 5% of all sales to our friends at BirdLife Australia and 10% from our Endangered Range to that particular group who look after that particular bird.
It’s our way of putting 'money where our mouth is'. We donate 5% of all sales to BirdLife Australia and 10% from our Endangered Range to help protect the critically endangered birds we raise awareness of.
Not right now, but if your store is the right fit for LYFER, please reach out to us info@lyferbrand.com, we are always open to a conversation.
Our apparel is designed for a relaxed, all-gender and regular fit. Check our size guide before ordering to ensure the perfect fit.
We set out to create product for all-genders, just like the birding community, we are diverse and each, unique, so sizing for all of us isn't easy! Besides, right now we are a boutique start up so hope you understand, regular fits are all the trend right now anyhow!
Check the size guide before you order and choose carefully. A well-fitting tee is a happy tee. You can find the size guides on each of the product pages, click the drop down
called MATERIAL & SIZE, like this one.
LYFER was founded by James and Josh, both life partners shared bird enthusiasts. They live in Melbourne, Australia.
Hi, we’re James and Josh (we wrote this), we are life partners who set out to create the world's first lifestyle brand for 'modern' birders.
James comes from a background of architecture & design and business, while Josh works in marketing for the agriculture sector.
We both share an unhealthy level of excitement for birds, and a healthy mix of good food, wine, travel and live music (we love our music!)
Hmm... thats a good question. The formula is rather simple, all other lifestyle choices have a brand that connects them so we thought we'd create ours.
Its about using the power of brand to spark curiosity and conversation too. Sure we could have put a bird print on a tee, but there are amazing artists out there who already do this.
We’re not about “merch” here, its more about creating a statement in a unique way and putting a bit of design and individuality into each product. Whether it's for someone out there looking for birdwatching gifts for some other mad birder in their life, or product for you to wear proudly, we want to offer something that is premium and wrapped in a story.
