Go Easy: Stick to a gentle cycle to keep it looking fresh.
Air It Out: Hang it up to dry—no tumble dryers, please and this one is not for the dry cleaners.

Field Bag
How to Care For Your Lyfer Field Bag:
Quick Spot Clean: Got a smudge? Use a damp cloth with a little mild soap and gently wipe it down.
Hand Wash Only: When It’s Really Needed: If it’s looking a bit too well-loved, soak it in cold water with a mild detergent, swish it around gently, and you’re good to go. It may lose a bit of shape, but it won't ruin it!
Skip the Washer: Machines can be a bit rough on thick canvas and will shrink it. A bit of elbow grease will have it looking good again.
Air Dry Always: Lay it flat or hang it up to dry naturally. Keep it out of direct sunlight so it doesn’t get stiff or faded.
No Bleach, No Ironing: Bleach can weaken the fabric, and ironing isn’t canvas’ best friend. If you really need to, use low heat with a cloth between the iron and bag.
Store Smart: When you’re not using it, stash your bag somewhere cool and dry. Keep it unfolded if you can to keep that nice shape.
Field Mug
How to Love Your Lyfer Field Mug:
First Wash: Before its debut, wash your Field Mug with a soft sponge and dish soap. Abrasive pads or scouring tools are a no-go to keep its glossy surface intact.
Dishwasher-Friendly, But only Gently: While dishwasher-safe, handwashing is recommended for lasting shine. Harsh detergents might dull its finish over time and we spent a lot of time and effort illustrating it for you.
Safe in Hot and Cold: Your Field Mug works completely safe in freezers, fridges (and ovens or induction plates, if you choose!). Although enamel ware is very resistant, don't throw it in the campfire. Tea and Coffee naturally stains enamel so make sure you give it a good rinse once finished having a cuppa.
Campfire Companion: Made for every life adventure, your Field Mug is perfect for heating water or cooking over a fire. Be mindful—the metal core means it gets very hot.
Microwave Alert: Enamelware is not microwave-safe. Don't even try.
Handle with Care: It’s durable but not indestructible, your Field Mug can chip if dropped or handled roughly. A chip adds character, but avoid using damaged pieces for hot or acidic foods to maintain safety.
One Last Important Thing: Your Field Mug will outlast a lot, however if its exposed to excessive pressure it will break, just like glass. Try not to drop your mug all the time!
Binocular Straps
How to care for your Lyfer Binocular Straps:
General: Your Lyfer binocular straps are crafted with paracord for strength and style, with the adjustable straps featuring 100% vegan leather accents. While they’re built for all habitats, they’ll last longer if treated with extra TLC.
Keep Away from Heat: The paracord is made from different materials, including polyester, which doesn’t play well with fire or high temperatures. Protect it from sparks and hot surfaces during your outdoor adventures.
Don't Lay In The Sun: This goes for you too, however to protect the vibrant colours of your paracord, please don't leave them laying in direct sun all day, over time, like most things, they begin to fade.
Not Waterproof, but Resilient: Despite what everyone says, paracord is not waterproof, your bino straps can handle getting wet, don't worry about that, and they will dry naturally. However, avoid full submersion or washing to preserve the integrity of the leather details.
Gentle Cleaning Only: For any spot cleaning, use a damp cloth and a mild, chemical-free cleaner.. This will help maintain both the vegan leather and the paracord’s weave.
Protect the Weave: To keep the paracord looking sharp, don’t compress it more than necessary or carry it alongside sharp tools that might snag or pierce the material.
High-Quality Clasps and Carabiners: The adjustable components on the Adjustable Bino Straps are crafted from durable, high-quality plastic (we had no choice, we need them to last, sorry!), to secure your binos and easy to adjust. The carabiners on the Original Range, made of bronzed chrome, provide a reliable connection and a sleek finish. Check them occasionally for wear, especially after intense use, to ensure they remain secure.
Field Notepad
Caring for your Lyfer Field Notepad:
Protect from Heat: While your notepad is designed to be rugged, stone paper isn’t heatproof. Keep your notepad away from open flames, heaters, or any source of high heat. Excessive temperatures can cause the paper to deform or warp.
Waterproof, Not Indestructible: While it shrugs off water with ease, avoid submerging the notepad in boiling liquids or exposing it to extreme stress in wet conditions. If you spill your drink on the pad, just wipe the surface with a dry or damp cloth, and you’re good to go.
Resists Stains, but Clean Gently: If oil, grease, or dirt gets on your notepad, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as the smooth surface cleans up easily without them.
Using The Right Pens: For best results, opt for ballpoint, gel, or oil-based pens. These provide smooth writing without smudging. Avoid fountain pens, as the ink may not adhere well to the stone surface.
Store Flat and Safe: Store your notepad flat to maintain its shape, and avoid stacking it under heavy items to prevent unintended creasing.
Keep It Close: We chose stone paper for its environmental properties and durability, but we always recommend that you keep it in a secure pocket or weather-resilient bag that is ideal for carrying it during outdoor bird walks.
Thermo Bottle
Caring for your Lyfer Thermo Bottle:
Hand Wash Recommended: We spent a lot of time choosing the best powder coat for your thermo bottle however the finish needs looking after. To maintain optimal insulation, please hand wash your bottle with warm water and mild dish soap. That’s all it needs.
Avoid Abrasive Cleaners: In fact, don't use any abrasive cleaners please, use only a soft sponge or cloth when cleaning.
Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning (by hand), leave the bottle open to air dry completely before storing it to avoid moisture buildup. This also goes for the Lock and Flow lid too.
Don’t Freeze: While your thermo bottle is designed to keep liquids cold for many hours, avoid freezing the bottle as it will damage the insulation or cause it to crack.
Avoid High Heat: Don’t expose the bottle to extreme heat (like boiling water or direct sunlight for extended periods) as this can damage both the internal insulation and the exterior finish.
Regular Checks for Wear: Over time, with all those outdoor adventures you've been on, the exterior may show signs of wear. We recommend that you regularly inspect your bottle for any dents or cracks that could impact its performance. A small dent can still keep your bottle functional, but it’s best to avoid dropping it whenever possible.
Lock & Flow Lid:
Tightening the lid: When securing the lid onto the bottle, tighten it enough so its secure but avoid over-tightening. This can put unnecessary pressure on the parts and potentially damage the seal.
Rinse After Each Use: Make a habit of rinsing the lid with warm water to remove any residue and prevent buildup.
Deep Clean Regularly: Once in a while, disassemble the Lock and Flow button top and wash them separately with warm, soapy water. Make sure no residue remains in the button mechanism.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners. Harsh chemicals can damage the silicone seal and the functionality of the button mechanism.
